Microsoft has quietly released a new update for Windows RT 8.1. The latest update for Windows RT 8.1 is dubbed as Update 3, and as promised, the update is finally available for Windows RT users. If you own a Windows RT device, check for updates via Windows Update and you should get the latest updates.

With Update 3, Microsoft has added the Start Menu – no, it’s not the Windows 10 Start Menu. Microsoft has decided to pack Update 3 with the DirectUI Start Menu, which was available on the early builds of Windows 10. Other than the new Start Menu, Update 3 doesn’t bring any other new features, which may be disappointing for some users.

For those wondering, the latest build of Windows RT seems to be Build 9600.
