Microsoft PowerToys team is working to bring on a Fluent UX redesign for PowerToys Run, the powerful launcher and search tool for Windows.

As shared by Niels Laute from the Windows Community Toolkit, the new design will bring PowerToys Run in line with the Windows 11 design language, with an acrylic backdrop, Segoe Fluent Icons, and a more compact size.

One of the most notable changes in the new design is the addition of an overview of all activated plugins and trigger commands when the search box is empty. 

PowerToys Run is a powerful launcher and search tool for Windows. It allows users to quickly launch apps, find files, perform calculations, browse the web, navigate the registry, and much more

Oh, did we also mention that Microsoft has just shrunk the size of PowerToys to less than 800 MB not too long ago?
