Microsoft Office 365

During WWDC 2018 keynote last year, Apple announced that Microsoft’s Office 365 will be coming to Mac App Store. Even after 8 months of the announcement, Microsoft has not yet released Office 365 in App Store. The launch now appears imminent as Apple has now started promoting about the availability of Microsoft Office on the Mac App Store in select countries with the following message:

We are proud to announce that Microsoft Office 365 is now on the Mac App Store. Your subscription to Office 365 gives you access to all functions on all platforms. To subscribe, sign up for any Office Suite app and update your subscription. Discover all the apps in the suite, and start creating and collaborating!

When available, the Office 365 suite can be downloaded from Mac App Store and can also be updated with a single click.

Update: Office 365 is now available for download from Mac App Store. You can download it here.

“We are excited to welcome Microsoft Office 365 to the all new Mac App Store in macOS Mojave,” said Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. “Apple and Microsoft have worked together to bring great Office productivity to Mac users from the very beginning. Now, with Office 365 on the Mac App Store, it’s easier than ever to get the latest and best version of Office 365 for Mac, iPad and iPhone.”

“We are excited to announce that today Office 365 is arriving in the Mac App Store,” said Jared Spataro, corporate vice president at Microsoft. “We have worked closely with Apple to provide Mac users with the very best productivity experience — one that offers everything they know and love about Office through an experience uniquely designed for the Mac.”
