One of the interesting apps in Windows 10 is the 3D Builder app which comes pre-installed with every PC running the OS. Today, Microsoft is bringing the 3D Builder app to Windows 10 on other devices — allowing users to build, design and print 3D objects right from their Windows 10 Mobile device or Xbox One console.

If you are into 3D, this app will be very useful for you as it includes all of the basic features. According to Microsoft, the app provides “everything you need to make any 3D content printable.” The app can also utilize your device’s camera to turn any real-life object into a 3D object — but the quality isn’t anything close to amazing. You can, of course, load images and turn them into 3D objects. And lastly, you can also open 3D files as the app supports 3MF, STL, OBJ, PLY, and WRL (VRML) files.

Microsoft has also teamed up with i.materialise to allow users to 3D print their creation from the 3D Builder app. Once you create something and it’s ready to be printed, you can simply click on the print button in the app and Microsoft will redirect you to i.materalise which is where you can get the creation printed and delivered to your house. And if you happen to have a 3D printer at your home, you can also directly print the 3D content from 3D Builder with your printer — but do keep in mind that only a selected number of 3D printers are supported at the moment.

If you want to go ahead and give the 3D builder app a try on your Windows 10 smartphone or Xbox One, you can download it from the link below:
