Back in June, Microsoft started promoting Windows 10 on Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices. The company started promoting the Windows 10 free upgrade offer from Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on devices and allowed users to reserve their copy of Windows 10.

Today, in a new blog post, the company revealed that millions of users already reserved their copy of Windows 10. Microsoft’s Terry Myerson states:

We’ve been really pleased with the strong response to Windows 10 since we kicked off reservations in early June, with millions of reservations. We want to make sure all of you have a great upgrade experience, so we’ll roll-out Windows 10 in phases to help manage the demand.

Microsoft expects 1 billion devices to upgrade to Windows 10. It’ll be very interesting to see if the company manages to cross the target by 2017. Until then, tell us what you think of Windows 10’s demand in the comment section below!
