Microsoft earlier updated its messaging app for Windows 10 mobile devices last week with integration for its Skype messaging back-end. The firm is now issuing another update, this time to version 1.10.11001.0.

We can’t spot any new features, and can’t say the app feels noticeably faster. It is probably an update to fix some bugs people experienced with Skype connectivity in the past week.

The app, while designed well, still needs a few more updates (Group messaging, media – Skype wise ) to become a true iMessage rival. if Microsoft can pull it off within the next few weeks, then they will have a winner on their hands by the time the Lumia 950 is ready to launch.
