Key notes
- The AI-powered generative erase is coming to Microsoft Edge’s image editor, Designer.
- And it works like a wonder, too, almost akin to the previously-announced feature on Photos.
- In fact, Designer actually does more than just being an image editing tool.
As Microsoft announced that it’s bringing Designer to the Photos app, there is also another feature in work that will soon arrive. The AI-powered generative erase is apparently coming to Microsoft Edge’s image editor.Â
Folks in the insider community have spotted this neat little change. Now, as shared by @Leopeva64 on X (formerly known as Twitter), the new tool is currently live in the beta-testing version of Designer on Edge.
And it works like a wonder, too, almost akin to a similar feature on Adobe Photoshop. You can simply click on the subject, and then it will automatically detect it for easy deletion. Then, simply click on “Erase object.”
Just as today, Microsoft is also testing a new feature that lets Windows 11 Insiders edit photos in the AI-powered Designer app. You can simply send your images from the Photos app to the Designer app by clicking on the Designer icon when viewing the image.
Designer does more than just being an image editing tool, however. You can also ask AI to generate images for you, a feature that’s available in Copilot, or even change the tones of the visual and make the color more popping.
