Windows 10 update for Windows 7

Windows 10 has been out for a little while now, and the OS is already on more than 110 million devices. Microsoft has been pushing Windows 7 and Windows 8 users to upgrade to Windows 10, too — however, the company doesn’t want PC makers to release new Windows 7 and Windows 8 PCs after October 31, 2016. The company has quietly updated the Windows Lifecycle Fact Sheet Page, which reveals the deadline for selling Windows 7 PCs:

For those wondering, OEMs will be able to sell Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 devices until October 31, 2016. Interestingly, Windows 8 devices can be sold until June 30, 2016. And as you can see on the above image, Windows 10 doesn’t have a date for its end of sales just yet — as expected.
