Microsoft Details New Features Coming To Cortana In Windows 10

At BUILD, Microsoft detailed the new ways to interact with PCs using Cortana. In the Windows Insider Preview build released yesterday, Microsoft introduced a new design for Cortana. In the upcoming builds, Microsoft will be further tweaking this new design to make it look more modern and cleaner. Take a look at this new Cortana design below.

That dark theme for Cortana looks really cool! Reminds me of Halo 🙂

Even the content displayed within Cortana has new look. There is a dark pane separating sections. Looks like it will also have integration with the phone by displaying notifications.

Cortana can now respond to various types of voice commands, right from system commands to turn ON/OFF settings to opening apps.

Microsoft is now allowing 3rd party app developers to be integrate Cortana into their apps

Developers can now integrate Cortana which will allow users to perform entire tasks in an app without leaving Cortana. For example, a music app’s integration with Cortana will allow a user to add a song to a playlist.
