Microsoft Azure is already known for its excellent support system. Microsoft is now making it even better by reducing the price of Azure Standard support. Azure Standard support now costs a fixed $100 USD per month, so forecasted support costs are predictable. They have now reduced the initial response time, now at 1 hour for critical cases. Also, they will continue the current offering of unlimited 24×7 technical and billing support for the entire organization.
- The price is being dropped from $300 USD per month to $100 USD per month for eligible Azure customers. Eligible Azure customers are those who purchased or plan to purchase Azure Standard support directly from Azure.com under Microsoft Online Subscription Agreement.
- The initial response time for critical support cases (severity A cases) is shortened from 2 hours to 1 hour. This change applies to all Azure Standard support customers (excludes Azure Germany).
With the updated Azure Standard Support, Azure now offers the most cost effective and predictable support offering amongst major cloud providers including Google and Amazon.
