Microsoft yesterday announced the support for Large Number (BigInt) data type in Access 2016. This new data type provides more analytical capability and expands the integration experience when Access 2016 users are importing/linking BigInt data. Also, when Access users create new local tables or edit existing ones, they can add fields that store BigInt numbers. They have also added support to turn on/off support for Large Number in the current database.

Support for Large Number in Access 2016 is now available to Office Insider Office 365 subscribers. Microsoft will roll out to other consumer and commercial Office 365 subscribers later on.
