Microsoft announces general availability of Azure Security Center in UK

Azure Security Center allows you to prevent, detect and respond to threats with increased visibility and control over the security of all your Azure resources. Back in July, Microsoft announced the general availability of Azure Security Center. Azure Security Center uses advanced analytics, including machine learning, and Microsoft’s vast global threat intelligence to detect threats and provide actionable alerts and dramatically reducing detection and response times. Today, Microsoft announced that Azure Security Center is now available in the UK.

Key capabilities are:

PreventMonitors the security state of your Azure resources
PreventDefines policies for your Azure subscriptions and resource groups based on your company’s security requirements, the types of applications that you use, and the sensitivity of your data
PreventUses policy-driven security recommendations to guide service owners through the process of implementing needed controls
PreventRapidly deploys security services and appliances from Microsoft and partners
DetectAutomatically collects and analyzes security data from your Azure resources, the network, and partner solutions like antimalware programs and firewalls
DetectLeverages global threat intelligence from Microsoft products and services, the Microsoft Digital Crimes Unit (DCU), the Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC), and external feeds
DetectApplies advanced analytics, including machine learning and behavioral analysis
RespondProvides prioritized security incidents/alerts
RespondOffers insights into the source of the attack and impacted resources
RespondSuggests ways to stop the current attack and help prevent future attacks
