Cortana

Microsoft today officially announced Cortana Digital assistant for Windows Phone 8.1 devices. As you might expect, it works just as you expect. Its a cross over between Apple Siri and Google Now. It can work both via voice and text. It learns about you and the things that matter the most to you. It can answer all sort of complex queries from sports scores to adding reminders and more.
Developers can also extend Cortana via their apps. Skype, Facebook, Hulu Plus are already working on such integration. For example, you can call out for your Facebook friend name to Cortana to check our the person’s news feed and more.
