Meta has released the standalone Meta AI app, which features the Llama 4 model and offers users a more personal and interactive experience with AI.
This new application allows for interaction through voice as well as text – users can have free form, natural conversations with their AI assistant. Because the app’s voice capabilities are “full-duplex” technology, conversation can flow back and forth.

One of the key features of the Meta AI app is its ability to provide a personalized experience.
By connecting Facebook and Instagram accounts, the app responds according to the user’s own interests, providing a more applicable and useful assistance.
Additionally, the app includes a “Discover Feed,” where users can explore and share AI interactions with others, remixing prompts and ideas to create unique experiences.
Meta AI is also integrated with Meta’s Ray-Ban Meta Glasses. This means that users can begin a discussion on their smart glasses and seamlessly transition the discussion onto their mobile app or the web.
Meta AI is already available in the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand and it aims to be more engaging, personal and accessible but it intends to expand even more.
It is a major advance in the quest for an intuitive, AI, future across Meta’s platforms.
