Marketplace to hit 11,000 today, growth accelerating?

Looking at the very tip of that graph, there is a certain hint of an inflection point being reached.  In the last 2 weeks 1472 apps were added to Marketplace, and according to www.windowsphoneapplist.com we may hit 11,000 apps today, after celebrating 10,000 only a week ago.

While the growth of Marketplace has been pretty astounding so far, it has also been very linear, whereas the massive app stores of iPhone and the Android have recently been characterised by much more boisterous growth.  The recent acceleration may be a sign of things to come which will see the Windows phone 7 Marketplace accelerate rapidly past the spam-clogged Blackberry App World and start reaching for 6 figures next year.
