wifitetheringMicrosoft have posted an update on the Mango roll-out on the Windows Team Blog.

After making the Mango update available to 50% of phones last week, they have now “opened the spigot” and made the update available to all of the rest.

They have also moved the Mango updates for LG Optimus 7 phones on Telefonica in Spain to scheduling and we’re working with Orange in Europe to resolve technical issues that were temporarily preventing delivering updates at full throttle to all its Windows Phone customers.

More interesting however is that some devices on some carriers, already updates to Mango, will be notified of firmware updates which will “activate new Windows Phone 7.5 features or improve your phone’s performance.” Winrumors suggests these updates may bring WIFI tethering to phones lacking the right drivers.
