Currently, HERE location apps like HERE Maps, HERE Drive, HERE Transit, HERE City Lens, etc, are exclusive to Windows Phone platform. The recent job listings from Nokia points out that this situation may change very soon. Nokia is hiring iOS and Android mobile app developers in HERE Maps division. Even though, the job listings does not directly mention about the HERE apps for iOS and Android, we can expect them from Nokia as it is an obvious business direction for them as the new company.

Along with Nokia Devices and Services acquisition, Microsoft has acquired HERE location apps as well. But, Nokia will continue to provide backend mapping services to Microsoft. Microsoft should soon start building upon the location services and make HERE apps stand apart from the competition on Windows Phone platform. What do you think?
