The Notifications tab on LinkedIn helps users in getting timely and relevant updates about their professional network where they can see activity about them, the content they have shared, and their connections. LinkedIn team today announced several new features to improve the overall notification experience. Read about them below.

Daily Rundown – A Daily Rundown notification gives you a summary of the top news such as the top headlines and stories your coworkers will be talking about today and more.

Search Appearances – This is a weekly notification which will give you information about how many people found you through LinkedIn search and the top companies your searchers work at.

Customize your notifications  – LinkedIn is now allowing users to customize their notifications with multiple notifications settings on both mobile and desktop

  • Mute or unmute: You can now mute any notification so that you stop receiving updates and unmute it anytime you want.
  • Unfollow: If you don’t want to receive updates from certain connections, you have the option to unfollow them directly from a notification.
  • Turn off: If you don’t want to get certain types of notifications, like birthday updates or when your connections publish an article for example, you can turn them off.

In the coming months, LinkedIn will also have the ability to delete notifications that you no longer want to see. Check out this new notification experience on LinkedIn desktop and mobile apps.
