E3 2018 came and went without a release date for Life is Strange 2, much to the disappointment of the series’ devoted fans. Fortunately, we didn’t need to wait too long for the official date as Dontnod has revealed the first episode in Life is Strange 2 will be out on September 27.
On June 25 we’ll get our first taste of the new season in The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, a free-to-play narrative adventure that takes place within the same universe. It follows the story of a young boy named Chris who pretends to be a superhero while living with his grief-stricken father following Chris’ mother’s death. According to Dontnod, dialogue choices made in The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit will have consequences in Life is Strange 2.
Other than what is presented in The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit, we don’t know much about Life is Strange 2 or even to what extent TAAoCS (look, the name is a mouthful) will tie into it. Dontnod is set to reveal more information regarding the series’ second season in August.
