The Lenovo Legion Go 2 is speculated to launch in September, however, this information should be taken with a pinch of salt. The information is circulated based on a regional social media page. A reply from Lenovo LATAM gave the handheld gaming crowd its first hint at a possible release window. But this isn’t confirmation. Not even close.
The original post surfaced on Reddit and spread after Videocardz flagged it. In the exchange, Lenovo’s Latin America account casually mentioned September in response to a fan’s question about launch timing. That would mark roughly nine months since the device’s CES debut in January which is a believable timeframe. But anyone who’s followed tech launches knows better than to trust a date from a community manager’s keyboard.

Lenovo hasn’t released a press statement. And when a product as anticipated as this gets a release date, it never comes through a backchannel. It comes directly from the company’s headquarters, through official press wires. This wasn’t that.
Even so, a September release still makes sense. The Legion Go 2 runs on hardware that mirrors other handhelds expected around the same time. If Lenovo plans to compete, it can’t wait too long.
Until we get an announcement from Lenovo’s actual product team or a press release lands in inboxes, treat this date as what it is: a rumor with a pulse, but not a heartbeat.
