Latest Xbox One build allows Insiders to appear offline from the Guide

The ability to appear offline on Xbox One is a necessity nowadays because sometimes you just want to game alone. Maybe you don’t want to be bombarded by messages or, in the case of reviewers, aren’t allow to tell others about the title you’re testing. While the console has always had the feature, it was somewhat oddly situation on your Profile page. With the latest 1704 Xbox Insiders update though, the toggle now appears in the Guide. A user by the name of Rhyuzi posted the following screenshot on Reddit:

This is a welcome addition to the console because it makes the setting immediately accessible. While appear offline may be contrary to Microsoft’s community-building Xbox Live philosophy because you’re hiding yourself from other gamers, it’s great to see that they’re listening to what users want. And the appearing offline easily was definitely one of the demands.
