The iPad Pro is now advanced enough for use beyond entertainment purposes.  To facilitate the use of the tablet as “traditional computer”, Steve Warren, CEO at Mapp Digital, has created a Kickstarter for an iPad Pro docking station.

We recognize that the iPad Pro is versatile and can be used for everything from creating documents, to spreadsheets, graphic design, illustration, media consumption and recreation, and so much more; so we wanted to create a product that would compliment that versatility, and capture the essence of the iPad Pro’s design language.

You can slot the iPad Pro due to the magnets.  Thanks to patent-pending MagicGear technology, the dock can also be rotated 90 degrees, from landscape to portrait mode.

Rear ports include a HDMI port, a single USB-C, a regular USB 3.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones or speakers.

If you need to take notes, the dock offers “design mode”, in which it can be brought down to desk level.

The dock is made out of anodized aluminium and comes with a microfibre cover to protect the back of the device.

The MagicDock is compatible with 11″ and 12.9″ 2018 iPad Pro models.  If you’re interested, you can pledge $109 or more to receive one 12.9″ MagicDock; which is $40 off from the expected retail price of $149.
