Huawei is expected to announce its Mate 30 Pro in the fall, and we know one feature it’ll have. As per an image of a screen protector for the device leaked on Weibo, the device will most likely have a curved screen, with the display sloping on both sides. Curved screens were made popular by the Samsung Galaxy Edge line, and have now become de rigueur for flagship phones.

While they do add to the premium look of the device, some consumers dislike them due to accidental touches and hard to apply screen protectors. It’s probable that Huawei will write firmware to account for this, and perhaps add some features to the Edge display.

As Google and Huawei would likely be able to do business again, the device will come with the Google Play Store, Android Q and EMUI 10.
