Huawei is set to launch the P30 and P30 Pro as a response to Samsung Galaxy S10 which was launched last month. However, with Samsung Galaxy S10 costing around $1,000, Huawei P30 and P30 Pro might be an alternative for people who don’t want to spend that much money.
There is no release date yet but the latest leak suggests that Huawei will be able to give a good competition to Samsung. Unlike Samsung, Huawei will have two variants with similar specs. The Huawei P30 is rumoured to come with 6.1-inch OLED display while the P30 Pro will have a 6.47-inch display. Both the devices will be powered by Kirin 980 octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and will have ARM Mali G76 GPU. The P30 will come with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of Storage while the P30 Pro will come with 8 GB of RAM and 128, 256 or 512 GB of storage. On the back, P30 will have a triple-camera setup with a 40 MP (f / 1.8) camera, a 16 MP (f / 2.2) Wide Angle lens and a 8 MP (f / 2.4) Zoom lens. Huawei P30 Pro, on the other hand, will have a 40 MP (f / 1.6) camera, a 20 MP (f / 2.2) Wide-Angle lens, and a 8 MP (f / 3.4) Zoom lens. Both the devices will come with a 32 MP selfie camera on the front. To power things up, P30 will come with a 3650 mAh battery while P30 Pro will have a 4200 mAh battery. The P30 will come in black, white, blue while the P30 Pro will come in black, white, blue, orange.
There is no word on when the devices will launch but it should happen soon. Huawei will need to make sure they price the phones aggressively in order to target potential buyers.
