We reported yesterday that Apple’s Airpods Studio over the ear headphones has been delayed, possibly all the way to March 2021.

It seems due to this Huawei’s direct clone, the Huawei Freebuds Studio may hit the market first.

Huawei Freebuds Studio,

The headphones are set to be announced next week with the Huawei Mate 40 handset. The headphones are expected to offer a 40mm dynamic driver backed by a Huawei Kirin A1 audio processor chip and powerful Active Noise Cancelling, which can reduce noise by up to 40 db.

They will also offer up to 20 hrs playback and 15 hrs talk time due to a two 410 mAh batteries, which can charge to full in 70 minutes via a USB-C cable, though a 10-minute charge should give you 5 hrs of playback, and tip the scale at 265g.

The headphones will support quick pairing with Huawei EMUI 10.x devices, support Bluetooth 5.2 and be available in ‘Blush Gold’ and ‘Graphite Black.

All this is expected to cost a rather premium 400 Euro, according to Winfuture.
