We expect Windows 10 Mobile to bring the ability to pin a flashlight toggle to your action centre, but what if you are the impatient type who cant wait the next 3-6 months for the OS update to drop?

It appears WindowsMania.pl has you covered.  They have modified the free and ad-free Flashlight XT app with the correct manifest to allow it to masquerade as an official camera replacement app.

Making it pinnable is therefore as easy as selecting it as your default camera app in Settings, as demonstrated in the video above, and then pinning the camera.

To make this work you of course need a developer unlocked handset, but that is now free and relatively easy.

Grab the XAP here, and read more at WindowsMania.pl here.
