GPD Win 2 micro-gaming laptop gets a price

We recently posted the full specs of the GPD Win 2, the successor to the well-received GPD Win mini gaming laptop,  and now GPD has posted some more information about the device, including the price when it becomes available via crowd-funding next month.

The specs include:

WiDi: Yes

Battery: 2 x 4900mAh batteries at 3.8v . Total of 9800mAh – 37.24Wh
Rumble: Features two vibration motors
Design: Designed by a team that won the Red Dot Award

The handset will be offered via crowd-funding on the 15th January 2018 with the device expected to ship in April 2018. The crowdfunding price will be $599 and the regular retail price retail $699 later.

The GPD Win range is intended mainly for emulated games, but the new Core M3-7Y30 processor should mean even better performance for much more ambitious games. A new fan which is 8 times better at moving heat and which is completely software controlled should also help, as would the new dual 2 x 4900mAh batteries should mean the device can keep up with the increased demands, promising 6 hours of battery life.
