Google is working on a successor to the Pixebook, its much-lauded Chromebook which debuted two years ago. Whi;e Google followed up the Pixebook with a Pixel Slate, the Slate has been so thoroughly banned that Google decided to quit making tablets altogether. That’s just how bad its reception was. Combined with a contracting tablet market, Google has decided to go all-in on the ckamshell form factor for its nex PC.

Earlier rumours have indicated that it would be a high-end device with bells and whistles like a 4K display. But now we’ve gotten an image of the device to gaze upon. Unlike the Pixelbook, this device has pretty thin bezels– expected form a 2019 device. But there’s not much else we know about the device design-wise.

With Google moving away from laptops, this is likely going to be Googles 3rd proper clamshell laptop under the Pixel brand since the Chromebook Pixel (2013) and Pixel (2015)
