It looks like Google is planning to hand-pick a feature from Pinterest to improve the shopping experience for the users. The company is testing a feature called “shoppable ads” which was first introduced by Pinterest and later adopted by Instagram.

The feature allows advertisers to pin important information on the image so when the user taps the image they can see information like price, features and more. They can also tap on the price to check the websites and place an order directly. Google is reportedly testing the feature selected users and is testing on just the sponsored images so the users won’t have to see the pop-ups for all the images. There’s no word on when the feature is supposed to roll out to the public.
