You can now ask the Google Assistant to help you with bedtime stories for kids. This new Tell Me a Story feature is now available in English on both iOS and Android in the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia and India. If you have the latest version of Google Assistant installed on your mobile device, just say “Hey Google, tell me a story” or “Hey Google, tell me a bedtime story.”

In the US, Google also has a feature called read along on Google Home smart speakers which adds sound effects as you read. To use this feature, just say “Hey Google, let’s read along” and the Assistant will ask you which book you’d like to read.
