Key notes

Google has announced expanded language support for Gemini in Google Drive, extending access to more users across Docs, Sheets, and Slides. The update enables Gemini to interact with and provide responses based on content in supported non-English languages, allowing for greater usability across international teams.

In parallel, Google is rolling out support for folder access within Gemini for Workspace users. This means users can now include entire folders not just individual files when collaborating with Gemini in Drive. The feature is intended to improve file organization and make it easier to reference grouped content during conversations with Gemini.

  • Enterprise Standard
  • Enterprise Plus, Education Plus
  • Teaching and Learning Upgrade.

It is important to note that the Gemini integrated features remain off by default and require admin activation.
