Bubble Town 2 is a popular Facebook game which is also on mobile devices and has some surprisingly good gameplay (Video Review).
Overall Score: 4/5
Even though the game’s idea is simple, it has great variation in gameplay which makes it last a good amount of time, and the presentation is decent.
Gameplay: 5/5
The controls are actually really great. Unlike other games of this genre, you actually have to manually aim the cannon and then shoot, unlike some of the games on the computer where it would go directly at where your mouse is pointed. That means that the cannon will not aim at your finger! You actually have to use some skill to estimate where the shot will go! The gameplay advances from good to great because of the amazing variation in gameplay styles and powerups the game gives you. Just when you thought you had everything down, the game presents a new challenge for you to tackle.
Presentation: 4/5
The visuals work well for this game except for the occasional snoozing animations of the game pieces, which are choppy and hard to tell from which piece the snores are coming from. However, the music in the background is good and the sounds are fitting for the game.
Lasting Value 4/5
Playing through the main mode of the game will take about 3 and a half hours, and then you can play the quickplay mode which has three gameplay modes within it, or compete for achievements and leaderboard scores. Unfortunately, the game does not tie in with any Facebook scores.
