Vivo showcased Apex during the MWC 2018 in Barcelona. The device will now be making its way to market soon. One of the USP’s of the device is the no notch display and the in-display fingerprint scanner just adds icing to the cake.

Back in MWC when Vivo showcased the device, it was still in prototype stage but now the company is promoting the handset for what appears to be a debut in June 2018. Earlier Vivo bought the title sponsor rights to broadcast Indian Premier League and it looks like the company is planning to get involved in FIFA World Cup 2018 as well. Vivo released a football-themed video showcasing the final device.

Apart from the no notch design and in-display fingerprint scanner, the Vivo Apex prototype shown at Mobile World Congress featured a 5.99-inch OLED panel, a Snapdragon 845, USB Type-C connector and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. As of now, we do not know what final specs of the device will be but the company is targeting FIFA World Cup which might suggest that the device will be released in multiple countries.
