According to a report from Ukie, the brand new Nintendo Switch exclusive Fire Emblem: Three Houses has found itself a very comfortable spot at the top of the UK charts.
The latest instalment in the Fire Emblem series managed to beat Wolfenstein: Youngblood to the number one spot, which is deeply impressive for a platform-exclusive game.
As GamesIndustrybiz’s Christopher Dring reports, Three Houses has sold ‘almost double’ the launch sales of 2013’s Fire Emblem Awakening.
It’s also sold more than double the combined sales of the first two Fire Emblem Fates games, which were released in the West in 2016.
Dring also points out that the game was ‘comfortably’ number one, as it managed more than double the boxed sales of Wolfenstein: Youngblood.
It was comfortably No.1, too. It managed more than double the boxed sales of Wolfenstein: Youngblood, which made No.2

Although we, sadly, don’t have an official MSPoweruser review for Fire Emblem: Three Houses, we can confirm that it definitely earned its position as top dog this week.
Here’s the top 10 games from Ukie’s Top 40 Entertainment Software (All Prices) Week 30 Year 2019 (Ending 27th July):
- Fire Emblem: Three Houses
- Wolfenstein: Youngblood
- Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
- Super Mario Maker 2
- FIFA 19
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- F1 2019
- Red Dead Redemption 2
We’ll have to wait and see if Three Houses can hold onto its top spot for another week, or whether it’ll fall on the battlefield.
