Earlier this year, Citrix released its Receiver app in Microsoft Store that enabled organizations running Windows 10 S to use specific Win32 apps. However, the app was not polished enough to be deployed for large organizations. Last week, Citrix has updated the app in Microsoft Store with a feature-rich Citrix Receiver package to target Windows 10 S, PC, x86 tablet and IoT Enterprise devices. Citrix said that this update will fix a number of internal and customer reported issues.

In addition, the new Citrix Receiver update brings Skype for Business in virtualized environment by supporting the Citrix Real Time Media Engine (RTME) for Skype for Business on PC, IoT Enterprise and Windows 10 S devices. This update also includes several performance improvements.

“Microsoft is excited to have Citrix Receiver for Windows 10 devices available in the Microsoft Store, making it even easier to safely and securely connect to your new and existing applications from any Windows 10 S device. This announcement is another example of Microsoft’s strong partnership with Citrix to enhance and extend the capabilities of Windows 10 devices for the modern digital workforce.” — Steve Teixeira, GM, Microsoft developer ecosystem
