End of OneDrive streaming makes Groove Music just a bit more useless

There is now one less reason to use the Groove Music app on Windows 10, with Microsoft ending the ability to steam your own music from OneDrive in the next 2 weeks.

In an FAQ Microsoft notes:

On March 31, 2019, OneDrive music streaming in Groove Music will be retired. Your personal music files will continue to be available in OneDrive. You can keep listening to your music using the OneDrive web player or by downloading your files and playing them in the Groove Music app.

After Microsoft shuttered the ability to subscribe and stream music in 2017 the ability to stream your own music collection from the cloud was one of the few reasons to continue using the app. Microsoft has been encouraging subscribers to switch to Spotify instead, including making it easy to transfer your playlists to the service.

The change will also affect Groove Music streaming in Forza Horizon 3, where the service presented itself as one of the radio stations.
