Google has announced a nifty update for all new and old creators, with five new features in YouTube Shorts. Focusing on making creating Shorts easy, the update highlights the revamping of the old editor with more precise control over clips. Creators can now zoom and snap to fine-tune each segment’s timing, quickly rearrange or remove clips, add timed text or music, and preview their Short to ensure they’re telling their story exactly how they want.

The second feature is a new beat-sync tool, made for those who struggle to sync clips to the beats. The tool helps align the video with the music track’s rhythm automatically, saving time.

Additionally, the update also catered for a new way to approach templates. Users can now incorporate photos from their gallery, with effects coming soon. Plus, using a Shorts template will automatically credit the original creator, which should help keep everything above board.

Then, a new option to add image stickers straight from the camera roll is now available. For influencers who want to keep up with the trends, this would be as easy as popping a photo in without leaving the Shorts editor.

Finally, YouTube Shorts is also adding generative AI stickers based on a simple text prompt for its users. Creators can look for this update, which will be rolled out gradually.
