As Apple able proven, thin phones are easier to bend than thicker, more robust devices.

Of course Microsoft Mobile has their own slim, metal-framed Windows Phone, and it seems that device is also pretty bendable, as Windows Phone fan Aaron Harstine discovered.

Aaron has been a Lumia user since the Nokia Lumia 900, and has owned the Lumia 920, 1020 and now the 830.

He reports that, seemingly without any provocation, his Nokia Lumia 830 has develop a bend, as illustrated in the images above.

He reports that the device has never been dropped, and always been used in a case, and that the bend appears to be a design flaw with the device.

Unfortunately both AT&T and Microsoft refused to replace the device, citing that the bend is considered evidence of physical abuse, and therefore not covered by their warranty.

At the same time Apple appears happy to replace iPhones which have the same issue, something which is not going to score Microsoft any customer service points.

Corroborating reports may help bolster Aaron’s case with customer service.Have any of our readers suffered the same issue with their Lumia 830?
