Oh my, it looks like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is crossing over with Halo. CS:GO is also putting in minimal effort here.

If you’re a fan of Halo and Counter-Strike then I guess you’re into a very slight and somewhat disappointing surprise.

Announced through the official CS:GO Twitter account, it’s been revealed that the crossover content for the update is extremely minimal. You won’t be firing an Assault Rifle, you won’t be wearing Mjolnir armour, you won’t drive around in a warthog. You’ll just get some stickers! WOO!

“Today we’re excited to ship the Halo Sticker Capsule in CS:GO,” the Twitter account announced. “As an added bonus, users who purchase and play The Master Chief Collection on Steam will receive an exclusive Halo Music Kit in CS:GO.”

Those who are unaware of how stickers work in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the items are single-use unlockables. You can use them to alter weapon appearances; stickers can even be scratched away to give them a weathered look.

The Counter-Strike crossover event isn’t incredibly surprising. With Microsoft’s highly-anticipated return to Halo: The Master Chief Collection coming to PC with the launch of Halo Reach next month, it’s high-tide for celebrations to commence! Bring on the Halo!
