Xbox’s upcoming exclusive Crackdown 3 releases in just four days for both console and PC. As fans hotly anticipate both its release and its destruction-filled multiplayer, they made be unhappy with the news that they won’t be able to play with their friends.

Wrecking Zone, the 5v5 multiplayer mode, will be a fun experience on its own. However, unlike most modern multiplayer games, you won’t be able to party up with your friends. Coming from the game’s Discord channel, Microsoft’s official Crackdown account let the bad news known.

“No. Wrecking Zone does not support parties and will not at launch,” the MSFT Crackdown account posted. “Parties are not supported in Wrecking Zone. I don’t have any info on if/when they will be implemented.”

Crackdown 3’s absence of parties is a weird one. With how much Microsoft has always pushed the idea of playing with friends, hence Xbox Live, it certainly is a questionable omission.
