Google has recently redesigned Chrome’s “Delete Browsing Data” (DBD) dialog interface after eight years, introducing a simplified UI while removing the traditional Basic/Advanced tabs separation. Here’s what’s new in the updated design.

As spotted and reported by me over Windows Report in the past, Google has put the DBD revamp behind a flag named “Revamped Delete Browsing Data dialog.

Enables a revamped Delete Browsing Data dialog on the Desktop. This includes UI changes and removal of the bulk password deletion option from the dialog.” – Mac, Windows, Linux, ChromeOS

Google has said goodbye to Basic and Advanced tabs and now offers one UI to clear browsing data from Chrome on desktop. The ability to delete passwords was removed; we presume this is now available in Chrome Password Manager via the reset button.

Additionally, the time range options appear at the top, including Last 15 min, Last hour, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days, Last 4 weeks, and All time.

Google itself notes that search history and passwords can only be deleted outside Chrome.

You can check the difference between the old and new Clear Browsing Data dialog in the screenshots attached to the article. Google refers to Clear Browsing Data as “Delete Browsing Data.” The company previously replaced the “Clear” button with “Delete” in the dialog.

As verified by MSPU, and from the commit message, the delete button in DBD is now working in the Canary version. Give it a try and let us know your thoughts on the new design in the comments below.
