After so many years, Nokia has just started to leverage its location platform by powering Yahoo Maps, Bing Maps and for Amazon’s platform as well. Nokia’s NAVTEQ platform is also powering 4 out of 5 navigation services in cars. Nokia recently announced that Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, Hyundai, Pioneer, Garmin, etc, have selected Nokia Location Services platform to power their devices.
Also Oracle is expected to announce on Monday about licensing Nokia Location Platform to use in their enterprise applications as well.
