One of the primary goals on designing Windows 8 for Microsoft is to have the system requirements equal or less than the system requirements of Windows 7. At BUILD conference last month, Microsoft showed us that Windows 8 uses less memory footprint than that of Windows 7. At Building Windows 8 blog, Microsoft detailed how they reduced the memory requirements such as service changes and reductions, more granular prioritization of memory, doing jobs with less memory, etc,. You can read them in detail at B8 blog. Its good to see that Microsoft has focused on improving Windows 8 in every single way to improve customer experience.
