Apple has registered five new iPads in the Eurasian Economic Commission database today. These are most likely models of upcoming iPads (including LTE variants.) These new iPads aren’t all going to be the same form-factors as the old ones. Along with the iPad Pro refreshes, Apple is reportedly debuting a new 10.2 inch iPad this year to replace the current ‘iPad. ‘

It’ll presumably come with gesture support and be bezel-less. This will allow it to retain the same size at its current iteration, while it will have a larger screen. The same source predicted that Apple was also to launch a new 10.5 inch “new” iPad with debuted under the moniker of the iPad Air back in April, so they have racked some credibility.

Apple’s iPad OS has been praised for making the iPad a more distinct creature from the iPhone and iPod. With these new iPads, Apple will test how the market responds to these changes.

“iPad transforms how people work and express their creativity, and with iPadOS, we’re taking it even further by delivering exciting capabilities that take advantage of its large canvas and versatility,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering said at WWDC this year. “iPadOS delivers exciting features, including a new Home screen with widgets, more powerful multitasking and new tools that make using Apple Pencil even more natural.”
