It looks like Apple might finally give in to the trend of having USB Type-C connector on its upcoming iPhone 11. The company earlier adopted the lighting connector back in 2012 after ditching its proprietary 30 pin connector. Now it looks like Apple is finally jumping on the USB Type-C train.

The rumour comes from a report by Mac Otakara, who claims that the company is ditching lighting connector in favour of USB Type-C. Although, they also note that it’s too early to comment as Apple is still working on the final design and the specs of iPhone 11. That said, Mac Otakara has been highly accurate in the past and we certainly do hope they’re right this time.

While Mac Otakara may have been accurate in the past, the news of iPhone ditching lighting connector is hard to digest so take this rumour with a big fat grain of salt.
