With The Angry Birds Movie 2 currently in cinemas worldwide, you can now enjoy some enraged avians from the comfort of your own computer with Angry Birds Friends on the Microsoft Store.

First released in 2012 on mobile devices, Rovio Entertainment says that the more socially-inclined instalment in the Angry Birds series is now bigger and better than ever. You can watch a video on the game’s growth and development, courtesy of Rovio, below.

The game has all the quintessential bird-flinging, pig-popping Angry Birds experience, but adds a fun competitive layer with bite-sized tournaments to pit yourself against your friends’ slingshot skills. Angry Birds Friends also boasts thousands of levels to enjoy with 12 new levels added each week.

It’s completely free-to-play, with optional in-game purchases. There are new competitive tournaments added to the game every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday, so you can test your mettle against other Angry Birds players.

Alex Pelletier-Normand, Rovio’s Head of Games, had the following to say:

“We’re excited to release two of our most popular Angry Birds games on Windows 10, increasing their visibility and availability during this important period. We look forward to releasing Angry Birds 2 in September, and in the meantime hope Windows 10 PC users enjoy the fun and competitive element of Friends.”

You can download Angry Birds Friends for yourself from the Microsoft Store here.
