Earlier this morning, we reported about Amazon’s new Windows 10 app for PCs. The app is now also available for Windows 10 Mobile devices. And if you are a Windows 10 Mobile user, you can download it straight away from the Windows Store. However, don’t get too excited, the app is just a web wrapper for the company’s website. The app isn’t anything impressive either as it’s just Amazon.com inside an app — meaning that you don’t get features like push notifications, or even a barcode scanner. The app does have a Settings page, but that only allows you to change the country for Amazon.
The Amazon app allows you to shop just as you do on the web. You can access any of Amazon’s sites around the world from a single app by simply selecting your desired Amazon country store. You have full access to your existing cart and wish lists. Search for products using the Amazon app, and easily add them to your shopping cart to purchase. All purchases made on Amazon are routed through our secure servers just as they are on the web.
