Amazon Kindle app gets minor update to fix crashing issue

Early today reader Gary wrote us to complain that the Amazon Kindle app was crashing constantly on Windows Phone 8. This was also reflected in the reviews, where users such as Phillip complained “Have not managed to open as it always crashes”.

It seems Amazon was right on top of the problem, as the app has just received an update which addresses the issue, and again from reports in the reviews of the app appears to have solved the problem.

The changelog of v reads:

  • Fixes crashes at startup
  • Fixes crashing bugs when opening certain books
