Copilot for Microsoft 365

Microsoft announced an upcoming update to Copilot. It will enable Copilot to analyze written content within Word and provide suggestions for improvement in several areas:

  • Logical structure: Copilot will assess the organization and clarity of the document’s structure.
  • Flow: The feature will analyze how smoothly ideas transition within the writing.
  • Tone: Copilot will suggest adjustments to ensure the writing style aligns with the intended audience.

The Copilot context menu will include an option for getting AI-generated coaching. Copilot will review the writing and offer suggestions for high-impact areas, such as logical structure, flow, and tone.”

The Copilot-powered writing coach has a Feature ID of 399923 and is expected to be generally released in July 2024. The feature will be available for Microsoft Copilot (Microsoft 365) users within the Word web application (a worldwide standard multi-tenant cloud instance).

This is not the first coach Microsoft has unveiled recently. Last month, Microsoft announced Reading Coach. One of the key features of Reading Coach is its ability to generate unique stories for each student using AI.

Not just this, Microsoft also revealed a public speaking coach. Speaker Progress is a new tool that helps students develop public speaking skills by providing them with real-time feedback on their pace, pitch, and more.
