Microsoft Education has announced many new features and updates for its various products, including Clipchamp, Teams, Forms, Reflect, and Reading Coach. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new:

Clipchamp, which can remove awkward silcences, thanks to AI, will be available in Microsoft 365 Education with A3 and A5 licenses starting June 23rd, 2024. 

AI-powered features are coming to Teams EDU. Educators can now use AI to generate rubrics and instructions for assignments, create modules in Classwork, and generate reading passages and comprehension questions for Reading Progress.

Speaker Progress, a new tool in the Learning Accelerator suite, is now in private preview. This tool helps students develop public speaking skills by providing them with real-time feedback on their pace, pitch, and more.

Reading Coach is getting new features to keep students engaged during summer break. Learners can now unlock new characters and settings for every 20 minutes of reading. 

Educators can also take a new Reading Coach Microsoft Learn course to prepare for summer professional development.

Reflect, a well-being app that supports connection, expression, and learning, now has new engaging stories and coloring pages centered around nature. Reflect is also available in every class in Microsoft Teams and can be integrated with popular LMS platforms.

Teams for Education is getting a new update that allows educators to connect Class Teams and add Teams Assignments directly to their LMS assignments list. This update also has all the new generative AI features of Teams Assignments to LMS platforms.

Microsoft Forms is getting several new features, including the ability to sync form/quiz data to Excel for real-time analysis, embed forms and callouts into Stream videos, and pre-fill forms with default answers.
